2026 at 2.9% or 2027 at 3.9%: what the Traverse payment looks like

The last 2026, the Z71 at $49,950, financed 72 months at 2.9%: about $757 a month, roughly $4,500.0 in interest. A 2027 Z71 at $51,967 at 3.9%: about $811 a month, roughly $6,400.0 in interest. The 2026 saves about $3,900.0 over the loan between the lower price and the lower rate, and it’s the same truck mechanically. If it’s gone by the time you read this, the 2027 at 3.9% is still well under a bank rate. Bring a credit-union approval and we’ll put the two side by side.

What the fine print actually requires

  • Model year decides the rate. 2026 gets 2.9% top-tier support or 5.09% with the 120-day deferral; 2027 gets 3.9% or 6.69%. We have one 2026 left as of October 12, 2026.
  • “Top tiers” means GM Financial’s A+ and A1 credit tiers. Roughly high-600s and up with a clean recent history. Lower tiers still get a supported rate; it’s just a higher one, and we’ll show you the credit-union number next to it.
  • There is no cash rebate on the Traverse this month. Cash buyers and credit-union buyers still get the listed price, $1,000–$4,100 under MSRP with no fees, but no GM check.
  • A payment deferral is not free money. Interest accrues from the day you sign. On a $40,000 loan at 6.5%, skipping the first payment for 120 days adds roughly $850 of interest to the back of the loan. Take it if you need the cash flow; skip it if you don’t.
  • First responder and military are GM programs with their own eligibility. $500 each, with ID. They stack with the rest.
  • Nothing here has a doc fee behind it. The offer comes off the listed price; there’s no second sticker, no “protection package,” and no financing surcharge to claw it back. Most of our vehicles are tinted; it’s a line on the listing, not a surprise at the desk.

Frequently asked questions

What are the Chevy Traverse specials this month?

Through November 4, 2026: 2026 Traverse, 2.9% APR for GM Financial’s top two credit tiers (3.9%–5.9% below) with a 92-day deferral, or 5.09% with a 120-day deferral; 2027 Traverse, 3.9% for the top two tiers (4.9%–6.9% below) with a 92-day deferral, or 6.69% with a 120-day deferral; plus $500 first responder and $500 military. No cash rebate. Carter’s price is already $1,000–$4,100 under MSRP with no doc fee.

Is there 0% on the Traverse?

No. October’s 0% is 2026 Silverado 1500 only. The best Traverse rate this month is 2.9% on the 2026 and 3.9% on the 2027, both for top-tier credit through GM Financial.

Should I buy the 2026 or wait for a 2027 deal?

If the 2026 Z71 fits you, it’s the better number: lower price and a full point lower rate. The 2027 program is still good (3.9% beats most banks) and 27 of them are in stock. We don’t know next month’s program until GM releases it on the 1st.

How much is a 2027 Traverse LT at Carter?

From $40,675 for the units in stock as of October 12, 2026, $1,000–$2,700 under MSRP depending on equipment, before tax, title and license. No doc fee, no addendum.

Does the Traverse have a rebate for cash buyers?

Not in October 2026. The GM money is in the GM Financial rate. Cash and credit-union buyers get the same listed price; they just don’t get a GM-funded rate.

What does the 120-day deferral cost on a Traverse?

About four months of interest added to the loan: roughly $700 on a $45,000 Traverse at 5.09%, about $1,000 at 6.69%. Take it only if you need the gap.

Is the price on your website the real price?

Yes. The Carter price on every listing is the number before tax, title and license, with no doc fee, no addendum and no market adjustment. Most of our vehicles have window tint installed and it’s shown as its own line on the listing.

When do these Traverse offers end?

November 4, 2026. GM resets the program at the start of each month; this page is updated the same day the new program lands.
