The Engine: One Choice, and It’s a Good One
Every 2026 Traverse runs the same 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder: 328 horsepower, 326 lb-ft of torque, 8-speed automatic. That’s more horsepower than the old 3.6L V6 and noticeably more torque, which is what you feel merging onto I-235. Fuel economy is about 20 city / 27 highway with front-wheel drive, a couple mpg less with AWD.
