Quick Answer

Buying a Blazer at Carter Chevrolet takes five steps: decide on a trim, find it in stock or factory-order it, get your trade appraised, arrange financing, and take delivery — at our lot in Okarche or in your own driveway. You do not have to drive to Okarche to buy from us, and there are no documentation fees or dealer add-ons on the paperwork.

Step 1: Decide Which Trim You Actually Need

The Blazer comes in three gas trims — 2LT, 3LT, and RS — and the gap between the bottom and the top is about ten thousand dollars. Most people land on the 3LT, and most people who stretch to the RS do it for the V6 rather than the features.

Two option decisions matter more than the trim badge: all-wheel drive, which runs about $2,700 and is worth it if you drive unpaved road, and the trailering package, which changes what the vehicle is legally rated to pull. We wrote both of those up separately because they come up constantly.

Step 2: Find It in Stock, or Order It

Start with current Blazer inventory. Our listings show the actual vehicles on the ground with their real equipment, and the price shown is the price.

If the exact combination you want is not sitting here — a specific color with a specific package — the alternative is a factory order. You spec the Blazer the way you want it, we place the order with Chevrolet, and it is built for you. The tradeoff is time. Build and delivery timing depends on plant scheduling and allocation, and any dealer who gives you a firm date months out is guessing. We will tell you what we actually know and update you as the order moves through the system.

From the lot

Factory ordering gets a bad reputation because people have been given fake timelines. We would rather say 'we do not know yet' and be right than give you a date and be wrong. What we can promise is that the price is locked the way we wrote it and it does not move while you wait.

Step 3: Get Your Trade Appraised

You can start a trade appraisal without coming here. Our trade valuation tool gives you a working number, and we will confirm it once we see the vehicle or good photos of it.

Two practical notes. First, your trade and your purchase are separate negotiations, and you are entitled to see both numbers on their own rather than blended into one payment. Ask for that. Second, in Oklahoma a trade-in reduces the taxable amount on your purchase, which is real money and is easy to overlook when comparing a dealer trade against a private sale.

Quick Answer

If you are ever quoted a single blended monthly payment without a separate trade allowance and a separate sale price, ask for the breakdown before you go further. At Carter you will get it without asking.

Step 4: Financing

You can finance through us, through your own bank or credit union, or pay cash. We work with GM Financial and a range of lenders, and we are not going to tell you our financing is the only option when your credit union may well beat it.

  • Apply for financing online before you commit to anything, so you know where you stand.
  • If your credit history is complicated, we handle that regularly and without theatrics. There is a Capital One pre-qualification tool on our site that does a soft pull and will not affect your score.
  • Watch current factory incentives. Chevrolet's offers change monthly and sometimes a low APR is worth more than a rebate, or the reverse.

Step 5: Delivery, Including to Your Driveway

This is the part that surprises people. You do not have to come to Okarche. We deliver purchased vehicles to customers' driveways across Oklahoma and into West Texas, and a meaningful share of our business is done entirely by phone, text, and email.

Carter has never had a traditional showroom. That is not a limitation we are apologizing for — it is why our overhead is lower and it is why shopping from your couch has been normal here for years rather than something we bolted on recently.

Buying from a distance

What a remote purchase actually looks like

  1. Pick the vehicle from our online inventory, or tell us what to order.
  2. We send you photos, the window sticker, and an itemized out-the-door figure.
  3. Trade appraisal happens from photos and your description, confirmed at delivery.
  4. Financing and paperwork are handled electronically.
  5. We bring the Blazer to you and pick up your trade at the same time.

How Our Pricing Works

Carter prices to the market and monitors it daily with Cox Automotive software. The price on the listing is the price of the vehicle. What that means in practice:

Common dealer charge At Carter
Documentation feeNone
Dealer addendum or market adjustmentNone
Mandatory add-on packagesNone
Advertising feeNone

Tax, title, and license are collected as required by the State of Oklahoma. Those are state charges, not dealer charges.

Our pick

The practical benefit of no doc fee is not the few hundred dollars. It is that you can compare our price to another dealer's price directly, without doing arithmetic on the back end to find out what the number really is.
