The 1,500-pound number is the one that surprises people, and it is the one that gets left out of most Blazer towing articles. If somebody buys a front-drive 2LT without the trailering package and then goes to pull a loaded 3,000-pound utility trailer, they are double the rating. A note specific to this part of the state, because we get the question every spring: a two-horse bumper-pull trailer typically runs 2,800 to 3,500 pounds empty and 4,500 to 5,500 pounds with two horses and tack in it. That puts it at or over the Blazer's ceiling even in V6 RS form. The Blazer is not a horse trailer vehicle.
