Chevy Surprises Ford F-150 Owners with 2017 Silverado
Chevrolet and Ford have been neck-and-neck rivals in the pickup segment for decades. It should come as no surprise, then, that ad campaigns surrounding the two brands can sometimes come down to making comparisons. Chevy has the upper hand with a recent ad campaign, however, in which they took a handful of Ford F-150 owners to a test track and gave them a big surprise – a camouflaged pickup truck with the badge hidden.
In the commercial, the Ford fans check out the truck bed, praising it for the fact that it’s constructed from high-strength steel instead of aluminum (which is what the F-150’s truck bed is made of). Additionally, they seem interested in the accessories and capabilities the disguised truck has to offer. At the end of the commercial, however, their guide takes off the black camouflage hiding the body of the truck to reveal the Chevy badge. In response, one of the F-150 fans says, “I don’t know, I might be a Chevy guy now.”
Chevrolet invites Ford F-150 owners across the country to come and check out the next-generation Silverado for themselves with an open mind. Come to Carter Chevrolet today to see it up close and personal. Chevy believes that once you see the difference, you’ll definitely make the switch.
