It’s that time of year, folks — Thanksgiving is right around the corner. So that can only mean one thing: Absolutely stuffing yourself with bird meat and potatoes and pie to the point where you start to seriously regret every life choice you’ve ever made. Okay, it means two things, because it also means it’s time to give thanks for the great things in life. And at Carter Chevrolet in Okarche, Oklahoma, we’re very thankful for the new 2022 Silverado 1500.

Chevrolet is bringing the heat with the new 2022 Silverado 1500, which you can find at Carter Chevy next spring. We love this thing so much that we tossed together a short appreciation the things it does that tickles our turkeys.

  • Super Cruise™. So when we were little boys in little cargo shorts, we all dreamed of cars that could drive themselves. Chevrolet is making the 2022 Silverado 1500 one of the first trucks that can drive itself thanks to Super Cruise™, the world’s first hands-free technology. Not only that, but you can even tow a trailer with Super Cruise™. Whaaat?
  • More Power Chevrolet ain’t half-stepping with its new Silverado 1500 engine lineup. You’ve got a new high-output 2.7-liter Turbo standard for most trims with 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. You’ve got a revamped Duramax® 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel that can tow a whopping 13,300 pounds.[1] And you’ve of course got the legendary 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8. Li’l something for everyone here.
  • First-Ever Silverado ZR2. Oh, this is the one, folks. If you love adventure, you’re gonna need the all-new Silverado ZR2. Possibly the most rugged Silverado Chevy has ever made, the 2022 ZR2 gets you off-road-ready features like Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, a front and rear electronic locking differential, and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory® M/T tires. Let’s do this thing.

At Carter Chevrolet, we’re thankful for the new 2022 Silverado 1500 coming next spring. And we’re super thankful for you. Because our priorities at Carter: Making friends and selling cars. In that order.

[1] Requires Silverado 1500 Double Cab Standard Bed 2WD with available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6, Max Trailering Package and 20-inch wheels. Before you buy a vehicle or use it for trailering, carefully review the Trailering section of the Owner’s Manual. The weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce the amount you can tow.
