The Updated Chevy Trax Brings a Modern Appearance
One of Chevrolet’s highlights at the Chicago Auto Show was the new 2017 Chevy Trax. The vehicle took styling element ideas from the Cruze, Volt, and Malibu, and now looks more modern.
The car’s new components are easily seen, particularly the reshaped headlights, which wrap around and integrate with the upper level of the dual port front grille. The front end has a more angular shape, with more chrome accents, and the fog lights appear to mimic the look of wheel arches and black side skirts.
The inside features an improved 7-inch MyLink color touchscreen with a redesigned digitally displayed center gauge cluster. Buyers can have the option of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, as well as having 4G LTE support. The centralized gauges create a modern ‘driver-centered’ feeling.
Safety features have also been improved and updated. The Trax now has features such as Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and a Side Blind Zone Alert. A review camera and ten airbags come standard on the 2017 Trax.
The facelift for the 2017 Chevrolet Trax does wonders for the compact crossover’s looks. It does not change the overall mechanics, as the Trax is still the great vehicle that we love, now just with a more modern look. Arriving in fall of 2016, the updated Chevy Trax is sure to be a hit.
