The Chevrolet Silverado is sticking to its award-winning formula for the 2016 model year, adding a few new exciting options for good measure. Here is a roundup of our favorite new 2016 Chevrolet Silverado features!

New 2016 Chevrolet Silverado

Apple CarPlay. The much-anticipated new technology allows iPhone users to access all of their phone’s car-friendly apps and functions (like the phone, navigation apps, music apps, and more) from the car’s built-in touch screen. The touchscreen displays in a format very familiar to the iPhone, making it intuitive to navigate.

Wireless phone charging. You can finally ditch the cords in the car. A built-in charging pad allows compatible phones to charge simply by resting on the pad. The new feature is standard on all 2016 Silverados with front bucket seats.

Remote locking tailgate. The tailgate can now be locked and unlocked using the central locking system key remote, adding convenient and easy access for truck owners when they have a tonneau cover or camper shell.

Other exciting updates include power-articulating assist steps and a new Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, available on the LTZ and High Country trim levels optioned with the 5.3-liter V8.
