Spring is finally here! It’s time for flowers to bloom, the sun to shine, and for you to get out there and cruise in your new Chevy. You might remember our previous post about tips for driving in the rain, but spring brings about much more than wet weather. Check out our spring driving tips below to ensure you have a safe, happy spring season out on the road.

  • Always keep in mind that with spring and warm weather, more people will be out and about enjoying the environment around. Remember, you aren’t the only driver on the road. More motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians will be sharing the road, so be alert and conscious of others, especially in residential communities and in high-traffic intersections.
  • Make sure to replace your wiper blades if they are even slightly not doing the job. You never know when heavy rains could downpour here in Oklahoma, so be prepared for anything and everything in terms of weather conditions.
  • Check your tires, and replace them if needed. An easy way to see if your tires are in top shape is with the penny test. Put a penny into the groove of the tread. If you can see Lincoln’s head, your tires are worn. Word treads can cause your vehicle a lot of sliding and loss of tread, so it’s important to make sure they are in top shape.

From all of us here at Carter Chevrolet, we wish you a safe and joyful spring!
