Spring is finally here and with it comes warmer weather and no snow! That means now is the time to take care of everything you put off during winter, including caring for your car. Winter can do a number on every part of your car, so it’s best to inspect and take care of problems now before they get worse. Take these tips on spring car care from us here at Carter Chevrolet! You’ll be glad you did.

Spring Car Care Tips from Carter Chevrolet

  • Tires – If you added air to your tires due to the cold weather, it’s time to check them again. Warmer weather tends to cause air pressure to increase and this can lead to overinflated tires. Let some air out to meet the manufacturer’s suggested air pressure for your own safety!
  • Wiper Blades – Winter is known for ice and cold, both of which can severely damage your wiper blades. Ice buildup can cause significant wear and the cold can cause cracks. Both problems can make wiper blades useless in heavy rain. Inspect your wipers and replace them if needed.
  • Exterior – Washing your car is important, and it’s even more important after winter. Road salt, dirt, and grime can accumulate on your car over winter. If left uncared for, that can cause paint damage and rust. Don’t let your car’s resale value take the hit; wash your car. A good wax wouldn’t hurt either!
