2014 Chevrolet Silverado: One Tough Truck
Not many trucks are awarded the highest possible five-star Overall vehicle Score for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was one of them! And we here at Carter Chevrolet couldn’t be more proud. This truck truly is a show-stopper.
In 2011, the NHTSA changed a few things about its New Car Assessment Program, in which numerous analyses and tests are performed to test vehicles for safety. The changes and enhancements have made it a bit more strenuous and tough to achieve a high score, but the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was up for the challenge. And victorious it was, for it won the highest possible score for safety, along with the 2014 GMC Sierra.
The 2014 Chevy Silverado offers incredible safety features including dual-stage frontal and side-impact air bags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, daytime running lamps, a tire pressure monitoring system, and optional OnStar® with a six-month plan. After multiple crash tests and examinations, the Silverado passed with flying colors. This is an unbeatable truck with unmatched power, safety, and capability. Great job, Chevrolet!
