Off Roading in Oklahoma in Your Silverado
Spring is here, and those who have a Chevy Silverado from Carter Chevrolet are likely itching to get out and play in the fresh mud. This highly capable truck is about more than just hard work. The Silverado is a perfect vehicle to take out for some off-roading adventures. When it comes to off-roading in our home state of Oklahoma in particular, there seems to be no shortage of trails and interesting terrains. Here are some of our favorites.
Clayton, Oklahoma
Head three hours east from Carter Chevrolet dealership to land in Clayton, Oklahoma. Here, off-roaders can hit a variety of trails, like those at Hurliman ORV Park or the K-Trail at Ouachita National Forest where you can take your Silverado along a scenic mountain range.
Lake Murray State Park
Two hours south of us, this state park offers up 10 miles of trails that provide a mixture of hilly grasslands and forested areas. You’ll find a few opportunities to play around off trail, too.
Little Sahara State Park
For some wide-open action, head a couple of hours north from Okarche, Oklahoma to Little Sahara State Park. With over 1,600 acres of sand dunes for your off-roading pleasure, this park proves that Oklahoma offers up a truly diverse terrain.
