New Car Care Tips
Taking care of a new car is as easy as driving it. Since a new car doesn’t need much in the form of routine maintenance, it’s easy to forget that it still needs to be taken care of—proper car care extends to new cars, and if a driver takes the proper steps, it can reduce the amount of maintenance a car needs in the future. We here at Carter Chevrolet have a few new car care tips to help drivers everywhere!
- Insurance – After you buy a car is not the time to skimp on insurance. Gap insurance protects your investment by effectively paying the remaining loan amount should the car be totaled. As a result, you won’t end up paying for a car you can’t drive. If you don’t have gap insurance, be sure to ask your provider about it.
- Drive – Driving is the most enjoyable part about a new car. With all the switches and dials, it’s easy to forget to keep your eyes on the road. Be sure to drive normally to break in the engine and leave the switching and dialing for the driveway.
- Read – Reading your owner’s manual will tell you everything you need to know about your car. Be sure to mark the manufacturer’s service schedule for quick reference in the future!
