Learn How to Keep Your Car Cool This Summer

June 21st, 2016 by

There’s nothing worse than climbing into a car that’s been baking in the hot sun. Thankfully, there are ways that you can avoid this scorching phenomenon, so before it gets too hot outside, take note of these tips on how to keep your car cool in the summer:

  • First and foremost, if possible park in a parking garage or at least in the shade. This will make an enormous difference.
  • If you can’t find a parking garage, try putting up a sunshield in front of your windshield.
  • You can also put blankets over the seats of your car. While they will certainly get quite hot, you can move them to the side when you get in, and they will keep the seats a bit cooler.
  • If you are in a safe area, consider leaving your windows cracked slightly to get some air flowing and avoid that signature stuffiness.
  • Lastly, before it gets absurdly hot outside, check that your air conditioner is working. You won’t want to find out that it’s broken on the hottest day of the year!
