How to Pack and Prep Your Car for Holiday Travel

December 12th, 2016 by

While the holiday season is a time to celebrate, be with friends and family, and have fun, it can get a bit stressful when travel is involved. That’s why it’s so important to plan ahead. Here is how to pack and prep your car for holiday travel to limit your stress.

Important Documents

The first thing that you should check is to make sure that you have all of the necessary documents in you glove box. This includes registration, insurance information, and your driver’s license.

Gear

On long road trips, it’s important to be prepared with entertainment, emergency items, and anything else that you may need. Here is a short list of some of the more important items to pack:

  • Chargers for any devices that you will be using
  • Maps (just in case GPS fails, your phone dies, or you lose service)
  • Jumper cables
  • Flashlight
  • First-aid kit
  • Cleaning wipes
  • Snacks
  • Tissues
  • Games

Add anything else that you think you may need to this list.

While this list certainly isn’t exhaustive, it is the foundation for a successful road trip. Feel free to share any other ideas that you may have in the comments section below.
