How to Exercise in Your Car
Between work, friends, family, and extracurricular activities, there isn’t always time left over for things like exercise. However, it’s possible to squeeze spurts of exercise into your schedule in some unexpected ways. Here’s how to exercise in your car on your daily commute.
Grip Strengtheners
A simple way to exercise on your commute is to pick up a cheap pair of grip strengtheners at the store. All that you have to do is spend ten minutes on each hand while you’re driving, and you’ll be amazed at the difference.
Dumbbells
Although you may not be able to move enough weight to become a bodybuilder, you can tone your arms a little bit while you’re driving with some simple dumbbell exercises. If you bring a dumbbell into your car, you can do curls on each arm while driving.
Core
To complete your full-body workout, you can do pelvic lifts while driving. Simply push down on the floor with your feet, raise your hips, and repeat. Do these on your 30-minute commute every day, and you’ll start to notice a difference.
While this isn’t quite a complete replacement for the amount of exercise that you should get in a day, it’s a better alternative than doing nothing at all.
