Hands-Free Texting Offered with 2014 Chevy Malibu

If you’ve been thinking about buying the new 2014 Chevy Malibu, you may be able to make driving out on the road safer than it was before. Hands-free texting capabilities are now offered with the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Malibu through Chevrolet MiLink. MyLink is a technology that features the new “Text-to-Voice” feature for all smartphone users, both with Android and Apple iOS systems. Both systems allow for voice-controlled connectivity and convenience while on the road.

The “Text-to-Voice” feature present in the new 2014 Chevy Malibu converts your incoming text messages to speech, and reads them to you through your Malibu’s audio system. It also allows the driver to reply with preset messages that can be created by the user. This is all in an effort to support safer driving by encouraging drivers not to text while driving. The hands-free texting feature requires a smartphone compatible with the technology along with a Bluetooth profile. Visit GM Total Connect for more information about phone compatibility and the new technology.
