GM Introduces Camaro Hot Wheels Edition at Indy 500 Track
GM has been designing specially equipped Chevrolet Carmaros, known as “festival cars”, for the Indy 500 officials since the 1960’s. This year, however, they have gone even bigger by teaming up with Hot Wheels to create two special edition Camaro models, which made their way around the Indy track for the first time last week.
The Hot Wheels package is offered with both a coupe and convertible model, each featuring a special edition paint job, Kinetic Blue Metallic, and a black racing stripe. It rides on 21 inch black wheels with a signature red stripe outline. You will also notice the official Hot Wheels logo located on the front, rear and side of the Camaro.
The interior is all black with red accent stitching. The Hot Wheels logo is prominent on the front seats and badging is found on the steering wheel and sill plates. This is the first car ever to be produced from a Hot Wheels toy.
So, if you were a Hot Wheels fan as a kid, you can relive those glory days with a life size Hot Wheel. However, to our dismay, it does not come with an orange racetrack. Our staff, here at Carter Chevrolet, is excited for the Camaro Hot Wheel Edition to go on sale!
