A Detailed Sculpture: The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe
If you haven’t already taken a good look at the 2015 Chevy Tahoe, now is your chance. Fans are invited to get the skinny on the SUV’s dynamic design from the two people who know it best.
In a video tour of the new vehicle, Bryan Priebe and Alexandre Henriques discuss the inspiration of and aspirations for their designs for the 2015 Chevy Tahoe.
Priebe, the lead interior designer, described the design as a result of listening to what customers really wanted and needed in a full-size SUV. In focusing on customers’ desires, the design team found innovative storage solutions and installed upscale, user-friendly controls.
The infotainment system is Priebe’s favorite feature. The touchscreen and its buttons are within easy reach of the driver and a secondary screen sits in the wristwatch-inspired dashboard, enabling the driver to keep his gaze forward.
Henriques is the lead designer for the Tahoe’s exterior and responsible for its commanding presence. He notes his favorite feature is the crease line along the SUV’s side. It is a simple enhancement, but shows the vehicle’s movement.
Improving aerodynamics, while maintaining the essence of Chevrolet’s classic SUV look, was the driving motivation for the Tahoe’s new design.
Together, clean design and clear functionality meet in the detailed interior and exterior, creating the masterful sculpture of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe.
