Chevy Special Edition SUVs: Equinox Midnight, Sport, and Traverse Graphite

August 5th, 2016 by

Chevy recently announced that it would be adding multiple special edition SUVs. This includes a new Equinox Midnight Edition, Equinox Sport Edition, and Traverse Graphite Edition. Not only do these models have sharper styling, but there are also some distinct upgrades you won’t want to miss.

The 2017 Equinox Midnight Edition will have a Mosaic Black Metallic exterior, while the Sport Edition will have a Summit White color. Both models will have black grilles and Chevy bowties, black 18-inch alloy wheels, jet-black leather interiors, a memory setting for the driver’s seat and mirrors, and black mirror caps and roof rack crossbars.

According to Chevy, the 2017 Traverse Graphite Edition will have multiple color options, including Mosaic Black Metallic, Tungsten Metallic, Siren Red Tintcoat, and Iridescent Pearle Tricoat. It will also have 20-inch Dark Charcoal heels, a dual exhaust system, black Chevy bowties, and integrated assist step.

“Special Editions give consumers an opportunity to buy something outside of the mainstream trim designation,” said Karl Brauer, senior director, automotive industry insights, Kelly Blue Book. “This lets them spend a little more for a unique model, one that often provides a higher resale value when it’s time to sell or trade the vehicle for their next purchase.”

The Chevy special edition SUVs also add to the Trax Midnight Edition that was recently released, giving the brand an entire lineup of special edition options. Buyers can now choose between multiple options, giving them better selection than ever before.
