Chevy Expands Support of One World Play Project
Chevrolet recently announced that it would extend its commitment to the One World Play Project by increasing its donation to over two million soccer balls. This program seeks to give One World Futbols (soccer balls) to youths in poor areas of the world.
According to Chevy, the One World Futbols are special designed soccer balls that can never go flat – even when punctured. The goals is to distribute these balls where needed by the end of 2018, impacting the lives of an estimated 45 million children in 94 countries.
“Through our partnership with One World Play Project, we’ve been able to deliver play to millions of youth across the globe, and we’re very much looking forward to extending our partnership and continuing to provide more opportunities for children to play everywhere,” said John Gasloli, Chevrolet Global Marketing senior manager.
In addition to simply providing soccer balls, the One World Play Project is also dedicated to providing educational programs which teach essential life skills, conflict resolution, and more. The project has already revitalized neighborhoods in South Africa, Chicago, Bandung (Indonesia), Bangkok, and rural India.
