Quick answer: If you’re shopping for a Texas Edition Silverado, you’re shopping for an All Star Edition. In Chevrolet’s 2026 order guide, the Texas Edition Plus package and the All Star Edition Plus package have identical contents; the only thing the Texas version adds is the fender badge. Same goes for the RST Texas Edition Premium and the RST All Star Premium. Texas Edition vs. All Star Edition: What Chevrolet Actually Changed
For years the Texas Edition was the easy button on a Silverado. You got the 20-inch wheels, the convenience features most buyers wanted anyway, and a badge that said where you bought it. Chevrolet still builds it, but only dealers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico can order it, and it has become a regional label on a package that the rest of the country buys as the All Star Edition.
Here is the part that matters when you’re comparing window stickers. According to the 2026 Silverado 1500 order guide, Texas Edition Plus is Convenience Package II plus 20-inch aluminum wheels with Grazen-painted pockets plus Texas Edition badging. All Star Edition Plus is Convenience Package II plus the same 20-inch wheels. That’s the whole difference. One badge. The two packages can’t even be ordered together because they’re the same package.
One level up, the RST Texas Edition Premium Package and the RST All Star Premium Package both bundle the Plus content with the Safety Package, Adaptive Cruise Control, the Leather Package and the Protection Package. Again, the only line item that differs is the badge.

What’s in the RST All Star Edition Plus
The RST is the street-look Silverado: body-color grille and bumpers, black bowtie badging, LED lighting front and rear, and the 13.4-inch touchscreen with Google built in. Add the All Star Edition Plus package and you get:
Convenience Package II
Universal Home Remote, power rear sliding window, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, and the in-vehicle Trailering App for pre-trip checks and light tests.
20-Inch Wheels
20-inch aluminum wheels with Grazen-painted pockets. Prefer the all-black look? They can be upgraded to 20-inch high-gloss black at the factory.
Bose Premium Audio
On the RST, the All Star package includes the Bose premium sound system, a stand-alone option on most other trims.
Front Bucket Seats
All Star trucks are built with front bucket seats and a full center console instead of the 40/20/40 bench.
Every 2026 Silverado also comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist: Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam auto high beams and Following Distance Indicator.
Step Up: RST All Star Premium Package
If you tow, or you just want the truck fully sorted from the factory, the RST All Star Premium Package is the one to ask for. It takes the All Star Plus content and adds four more packages:
Safety Package
HD Surround Vision, Front and Rear Park Assist, Trailer Camera Provisions, Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Rear Pedestrian Alert and Perimeter Lighting. This is the package that makes a crew cab feel small in a parking lot and makes backing a trailer a one-person job.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Radar-based cruise that holds a following distance on I-40 or I-35 instead of a fixed speed. Once you’ve had it on a long haul, you won’t go back.
Leather Package
Leather-appointed seating in Gideon/Very Dark Atmosphere or Jet Black. On crew cabs it also brings the up-level rear seat with under-seat storage, seatback storage and a fold-down armrest with cupholders.
Protection Package
Chevytec spray-on bedliner and front and rear wheelhouse liners. Want it dirtier? At the factory this can be upgraded to the Z71 Off-Road and Protection Package, which adds the Z71 off-road suspension, Hill Descent Control, skid plates, a heavy-duty air filter and Z71 badging on 4WD trucks.
Engine note: on the RST, All Star content pairs with the 5.3L V8 or the 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel. The 2.7L TurboMax RST is built as the RST Select Package instead, which is a different bundle (gloss-black 20s, all-terrain tires, spray-in liner, assist steps and floor liners).

Can I still get a Silverado Texas Edition?
Yes. Chevrolet still builds it, and as an Oklahoma dealer we’re allowed to order the Texas Edition badging. We don’t stock it because the All Star Edition is the same truck, but if the badge matters to you we’ll factory-order one. Expect the usual build-and-ship time.
Is the All Star Edition really identical to the Texas Edition?
Package for package, yes. The 2026 order guide lists Texas Edition Plus as Convenience Package II, 20-inch Grazen-pocket wheels and Texas badging, and All Star Edition Plus as Convenience Package II and the same wheels. The Premium versions match the same way. Chevrolet won’t even let the two be ordered on one truck.
Is the All Star Edition only on the RST?
No. The All Star Edition is also available on the LT, and there’s an LTZ Premium version of the Texas Edition with a sunroof. The RST All Star is the one most of our customers ask for because it pairs the package with the RST’s body-color look and the Bose system.
Which engine comes in an RST All Star?
The 5.3L V8 or the 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel. The 2.7L TurboMax RST is built with the RST Select Package instead, so if you want All Star content you’ll be looking at a V8 or diesel truck.
