Chevrolet Serves Communities

Chevrolet not only works hard to make quality vehicles, but also is working hard to better the world.

Gauteng, a province in South Africa has an event every year where bikers meet at Benoni Sports ground to collect toys for the less fortunate children. This is the second year that the Chevrolet Ute Force has provided a Chevrolet Utility for bikers to use in transporting materials needed for the Toy Run. The Chevrolet Utility was able to haul fences, gazebos, signs, and other materials needed to prepare for the Toy Run.

On a more local scale, Chevrolet has also recently collaborated with the Rainbow Push Coalition to host a Money Matters series in Chicago. These workshops provided information to increase financial literacy. Some of the topics included developing a budget, building your credit, and managing money.

Reginald Humphrey, senior manager of Supplier Diversity of General Motors, spoke about the importance of the Money Matters event. “GM values the communities in which it works and plays and we want to make sure we are a part of that community, not just selling vehicles, but actually investing in the education behind the investment into those vehicles.”

It seems clear to us at Carter Chevrolet that Chevrolet serves communities, both locally and world-wide. We are proud to feature Chevrolet vehicles and be part of a caring community.
