Dependable Pickup Trucks

Have you ever wished you could experience the quality and dependability of the Silverado line of pickup trucks, but with even more incredible versatility and power under the hood? If so, you’re in luck, as Chevrolet introduced a new lineup of Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD chassis cab trucks at the recent 2018 Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

New Truck Lineup

The new lineup marks the first time that the legendary Silverado Heavy Duty nameplate will be applied to an ultra-versatile chassis cab configuration. The new trucks were designed to be “easy to uplift, easy to drive, easy to service, and easy to own,” according to Ed Paper, U.S. vice president of GM Fleet.

So Many Silverado Heavy Duty Options

Equipped with a potent 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine coupled to an advanced Allison transmission with a Power Take Off option, the new class 4, 5, and 6 Silverado Heavy Duty trucks will be capable of 350 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, and will be available in two- or four-wheel drive models. As far as connectivity goes, we can expect to see the same impressive technology as in other recent Silverado models, including OnStar, available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, available wireless phone charging station, Bluetooth wireless technology, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
