What’s New for the 2027 Corvette

2027 is a landmark year. The legendary Grand Sport nameplate returns — in two forms: the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport, billed as “the purist’s Corvette,” and the new all-wheel-drive Grand Sport X. Both, along with the Stingray, get an all-new LS6 6.7L naturally aspirated V8 making 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, with the highest compression ratio (13.0:1) ever fitted to a Corvette V8. Performance exhaust is now standard across the line, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking joins the safety suite, and two new colors arrive: Admiral Blue Metallic and Pitch Gray Metallic.

The Star of 2027: Grand Sport

The Grand Sport is the headline. It pairs the new 535-hp LS6 V8 with rear-wheel drive, a sculpted wide-body chassis, standard Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and an available Z52 Track Performance Package (carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, carbon-fiber aero with a high wing). Heritage hash marks and center stripes nod to the name’s racing legacy. Performance and the New LS6 V8

The all-new LS6 6.7L V8 is the heart of the 2027 lineup’s volume models. Naturally aspirated, it makes 535 hp and 520 lb-ft, revs with immediate linear response, and pairs with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Above it, the Z06’s 5.5L flat-plane V8 spins to 8,400 rpm for 670 hp, the ZR1’s twin-turbo V8 makes a staggering 1,064 hp, and the ZR1X tops the range at 1,250 hp. Body Styles and Technology

Every Corvette comes as a coupe (with a removable body-color roof panel) or a convertible (with a power-retractable hardtop). Inside, a driver-focused cockpit features a 12.7-inch center touchscreen, a 14-inch digital driver display, and a 6.6-inch passenger screen, with Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available Bose premium audio.
