The Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size crossover that debuted for the 2009 model year. The Traverse is closely related to the GMC Acadia and the Buick Enclave, which share some components. It sits beneath the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Traverse, offering three rows of seating and a comfortable on-road driving experience.
For 2024, Chevrolet releases the all-new Traverse. It sports a rejuvenated interior and exterior design, plus a new powertrain. Furthermore, the first-ever Z71 off-road oriented trim level joins the Traverse range.
There are four trims available for 2024 Traverse buyers:

The 2024 Chevy Traverse features a three-row passenger cabin. The LS trim gets an eight-passenger configuration with second and third-row bench seats. Starting from the LT trim, the Traverse is a seven-seater, with captain chairs for the second row. These two individually adjustable seats with armrests offer more space and comfort. However, LT buyers can opt for the eight-seat configuration as well.
The LS trim gets premium cloth upholstery in Jet Black. On the other hand, the LT grants you premium cloth and Evotex in a shade called Gideon. Further up the range, the Z71 gets special two-tone Jet Black and Torch Red Evotex upholstery and interior detailing. But if you prefer perforated leather, you'll find it on the RS trim in Jet Black and Torch Red.
The 2024 Traverse can handle 23 cubic feet of cargo when all three rows are up. But you can split-fold the second and third rows for up to 98 cubic feet of capacity. Hence, bringing home a new refrigerator or a theater system is not an issue.
You’ll also find plenty of storage pockets in the doors and center console within the cabin. Moreover, every 2024 Traverse includes cup holders for all three rows.
The 2024 Chevy Traverse has been fully redesigned and sports Chevrolet's bold new styling direction. The large front grille is a defining element of this full-size crossover, wearing the Chevrolet Bowtie at the center. Meanwhile, the slimline LED headlamps have auto high beams and auto on/off on all trims. Some trims also add LED fog lamps.
The 2024 Traverse has Chevy’s new Smart Sense power-operated liftgate on higher trims. This system can detect the presence of the vehicle’s key fob and automatically open it for you when you approach the trunk.
Meanwhile, choosing the range-topping RS trim brings 22-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels and gloss black roof rails. The Z71 trim gets special 18-inch alloy wheels and wears all-terrain tires.
Buyers can pick from eight colors for the 2024 Traverse. However, not all colors are offered for the base trim.
Chevy has fitted the 2024 Traverse with a new downsized 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s more powerful and efficient. The engine makes 328 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Some trims also add steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear shifting.
Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the Z71 trim, which has a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system. But this system is available for other trims. The Z71 trim also adds off-road suspension, hill descent control, and underbody skid plates. In addition, it gets terrain-specific drive modes.
Chevy rates the 2024 Traverse as capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds when suitably equipped. Meanwhile, the Z71 and RS trims come with standard trailering equipment.
