2014 Corvette Stingray Awarded to Super Bowl MVP
If you are like me then you grew up dreaming of being a professional sports star. Whether it is in the NBA, MLB, NFL, or something else, it was a dream for a lot of us. As I grow older, I realize this dream is fairly unattainable for me. I realize more and more every day that I will never play in the NFL and hoist the Lombardi trophy after leading my team down the field for a game-winning drive.
That was always enough motivation for me to want to become a Super Bowl MVP, but Chevrolet added another incentive by giving away the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Chevrolet presented the new Corvette to Joe Flacco of the champion Baltimore Ravens.
Since the Super Bowl was hosted in New Orleans, Chevrolet allowed Rick Flick, owner of Banner Chevrolet in New Orleans, to award the Corvette to Flacco. Due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Banner Chevrolet had the largest losses ever recorded for a dealership in the US.
“With the Super Bowl in his backyard, we couldn’t think of a better guy to have the honor of awarding the MVP with his Corvette Stingray,” said Alan Batey, GM vice president of U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing.
