2014 Chevy Cruze
The new 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel has something to brag about, with an astounding EPA rating of 46 mpg highway. This mpg rating makes the Cruze the highest of any non-hybrid car.
The first clean diesel car produced by a U.S Automaker, the Cruze Diesel is able to travel 700 miles on a single tank of gas. The 2L engine has 148 hp and up to 258 lb-ft. of torque. Chevy additionally offers an overboost function that allows the car to accelerate quickly to get up to highway speeds that can also raise torque to about 280 lb-ft. With a six speed standard transmission, the Cruze can go from 0 to 60 in 8.6 seconds.
The Chevy Cruze also offers the Chevy MyLink system, leather trim, and a 5 year, 100,000 –mile powertrain warranty as standard.
The Chevy Cruze’s pricing starts at around $26,000 and is set to be available nationally by fall of this year. The Cruze is available in select cities this summer, making its debut in Milwaukee and Baltimore starting in late June.
