1 Million Chevy Spark Sales Sets a New Milestone

Chevrolet is celebrating the achievement of a new, major milestone in mini car sales, with the announcement that Chevy Spark sales have surpassed the 1 million mark worldwide.

The Spark is now available in 71 markets around the world, with South Korea, the United States, and Mexico helping themselves to the biggest share of sales. In India, where it first went on sale in 2009, the Spark is known as the Beat, and back at home, Spark sales are up 10 percent on a year-to-date basis.

The Spark’s achievement is a testament to Chevrolet’s small car success and their appeal to young buyers. Earlier this year, the Cruze compact car passed the 3-million sales mark, and small car sales have increased by more than 9 percent for buyers under the age of 35.
