Interior Review of the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban

For 2025, the Suburban's interior will receive a much-needed makeover with improved materials and modern technology. The upper trims feature additional soft-touch materials, such as real wood inlays. This three-row SUV can accommodate eight people by default, but seven or nine seats are available in optional combinations. Base versions have a three-row bench, while upper trims have second-row captain's chairs.

The front row has class-leading legroom with durable and comfortable bucket seats. Taller adults will have plenty of space in the second row, which is as roomy as the first. The third row also offers enough space even for six-footers.

With a large SUV like the Suburban, it can be difficult to avoid large blind spots in the back. However, visibility is good on both the front and sides. When navigating in confined locations, Chevy's HD Surround Vision camera system is helpful.

The Suburban's space behind the third row is 41.5 cubic feet. When the back seats are folded, it expands to 93.8 cubic feet. You can also fold the second and third rows to get an impressive 144.7 cubic feet. Except for the Chevy's stablemate, the GMC Yukon, no minivan or SUV on the market has larger cargo space than the Suburban. There is also a power tailgate that can be operated hands-free.

Exterior Review of the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban

Bolder trademark lighting is part of the visual update for the new Chevrolet Suburban. The front DRLs are slimmer and more prominent. However, they still have the C-shaped features that unify the Chevy family of vehicles. An inclined prism in the lighting housing is responsible for the thinner DRLs. It eliminates large clusters and permits maximum illumination. Along with a more contemporary grille, the new lights setup gives this full-size SUV a fresher look.

The Suburban features a redesigned front fascia. Each model also has distinct design cues. For instance, the High Country receives a more sporty/luxurious design with black and Galvano chrome external trim. On the other hand, the Z71 variant has unique skid plates and a high-approach front end. The Premier and High Country models also have standard welcome and walk-away illumination animations and dynamic swiping turn signals.

While base versions come with 18-inch wheels, new 24-inch wheel designs are available for the RST and High Country grades.

Below are some of the available colors for the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban:

Power and Performance of the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban

The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban features three engine options. The first is a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder second-generation turbodiesel with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The next is a 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, which is the standard engine. Last but not least is a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. All engines have standard rear-wheel drive (except in the Z71) and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Z71 has four-wheel drive, which is also offered across the lineup.

Choose the Z71 trim if you want to travel off the beaten path. It has a front skid plate, all-terrain tires, a two-speed transfer case, eight inches of ground clearance, and more.

The Suburban can tow between 7,800 and 8,300 pounds, depending on the engine and model. Only a few of this Chevy's competitors have more towing capacity.
