2019 Chevrolet Traverse
If you’re looking for an SUV capable of handling your active lifestyle, look no further than the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. Three rows of seating, advanced safety features, and impressive performance make the Chevy Traverse a vehicle you won’t want to pass up.
The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse is available at seven trim levels: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country.
All trims of the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse are available with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), except the L trim — which is only available with FWD — and the High Country trim — only available with AWD.
Don’t get us wrong, the Chevrolet Traverse is full of infotainment technology to keep your family happy. Its latest and greatest tech additions, though, are in the realm of safety. The SUV is available with features to prevent crashes and keep you in control of your vehicle and uses radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to monitor the roadways.
Many of the systems, like Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, and Forward Automatic Braking, watch the road for obstacles in front of your vehicle and help slow the vehicle down to avoid an impact or lessen its severity. When you put the Traverse in reverse, Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and the Rear Vision Camera help you be more aware of what’s around you as you maneuver. Finally, when you’re driving, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert will watch road markings when possible to make sure you stay where you need to be on the road and don’t merge into another vehicle.
The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse is available with two engine options. All trim levels come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that achieves 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque to move through traffic with ease. If you opt for the Traverse RS, you can upgrade your experience with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine Turbo engine that powers its front-wheel-drive powertrain.
When it comes to front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, both options are available on all trims of the 2019 Traverse, with the exception of the base L trim and the High Country Trim. The L trim is FWD only, and the High-Country trim only comes with AWD.
For the ultimate SUV seating capacity, the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse has three rows of seats. On the L and LS trims, two bench rows means the Traverse can carry up to eight passengers. The higher trim levels are configured for seven passengers in one bench row and two rows of bucket seats. Besides a plethora of seats, select trims of this vehicle are available with all-weather floor mats, heated and ventilated front seats, and a SkyScape power tilt-sliding sunroof.
